In Loving Memory of Davinna Kym Wilberg: A Legacy of Love, Creativity, and Courage

With heartfelt sorrow and deep appreciation, we announce the passing of Davinna Kym Wilberg, a treasured friend, sister, stepmother, veteran, and author who departed this life peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on April 15, 1947, Davinna led a life anchored in grace, wisdom, and kindness. Whether offering quiet encouragement or fierce love, her presence uplifted all who knew her. She was a rock of compassion, a woman of deep convictions, and a light in both her family and creative communities.

Davinna’s love of storytelling was most powerfully expressed through her co-authored work, “How Christopher T. Twinkles Came To Be” (September 18, 2024), written alongside Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak, Ph.D. The book, a heartwarming intergalactic tale, speaks to themes Davinna held dear: courage, belonging, and the transformative power of love. Through the character of Missy Chrissy and a miraculous teddy bear, Davinna gave readers young and old a reason to believe in small miracles with big messages.

Beyond her literary achievements, Davinna was a proud U.S. veteran. She will be laid to rest with honor at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, a resting place that reflects both her service and her spirit.

Her legacy lives on in her words, her family, and the countless lives she touched with tenderness and imagination. Davinna taught us to lead with love, to face adversity with hope, and to find light even in life’s darkest corners.
