Anu Rangachar Joins Berlinale Programming Team as Delegate for South Asia

Festival director Tricia Tuttle has added renowned Indian producer, curator and programmer Anu Rangachar to the team as the Berlinale’s new delegate for South Asia.

Anu will report directly to Co-Directors of Film Programming Jacqueline Lyanga and Michael Stütz and work closely with the existing programming teams.

“Anu beautifully rounds out our diverse team of curators, advisors and delegates who together bring many years of expertise and deep networks across the world’s film industries. Michael Stütz, Jacqueline Lyanga and I look forward to working closely with Anu to find and support great films and filmmakers from across South Asia as part of the Berlinale’s programmes”, comments Tricia Tuttle.

A longtime programmer at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, heading their international programme, Anu Rangachar has worked extensively with U.S. based distributors to champion contemporary South Asian arthouse films and collaborated on the acquisition of acclaimed international festival titles. Her production credits include several notable Indian independent features. With her curatorial work across international festivals, she continues to shape global conversations around South Asian cinema.

An international group of delegates and specific advisors scout for and act as ambassadors for all programmes of the Berlinale. They help to deepen the expertise and international networks of the festival.
