Intertek named Cybersecurity Label Administrator for U.S. Cyber Trust Mark program

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, has been selected by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as a Cybersecurity Label Administrator (CLA) for the new U.S. Cyber Trust Mark program, a voluntary cybersecurity labeling program for wireless consumer IoT products.

The program will allow qualifying consumer smart products that meet critical cybersecurity standards to display a label, including the U.S. government’s U.S. Cyber Trust Mark, which will help consumers make informed purchasing decisions, easily identify trustworthy products, and encourage manufacturers to prioritize higher cybersecurity standards. As one of the program’s conditionally selected CLAs, Intertek will be responsible for day-to-day management of the program, including accepting and reviewing applications and approving or denying use of the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark.
