Three American Honda Models Earn Initial Quality Awards in Annual J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS)

Three American Honda models earned Highest Initial Quality Awards in the 2025 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study.  The Honda Odyssey made at the company’s Alabama Auto Plant, and the Acura Integra (Marysville Auto Plant) and Acura RDX (East Liberty Auto Plant), each made in Ohio*, earned the top initial quality awards in their respective segments. Additionally, the Honda of Canada Mfg. Alliston Auto Plant 2 was honored with a 2025 Initial Quality Assembly Plant Bronze Award for its production of the Honda CR-V and CR-V hybrid.

The U.S. Initial Quality Study, now in its 39th year, is based this year on responses from thousands of purchasers and lessees of new 2025 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study additionally incorporates repair visit data based on hundreds of thousands of real-world events reported to franchised new-vehicle dealers.

Honda Manufacturing in North America
Honda has now produced automobiles in North America for over 40 years, beginning in November 1982 at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. In 2024, 99.6% of all Honda and Acura automobiles sold in the U.S. were made in North America.

Honda established manufacturing operations in North America in 1979 with motorcycle production in Marysville, Ohio. Over the past four decades, Honda has steadily grown local production capabilities and now employs more than 33,000 associates in North America who support manufacturing operations at 18 Honda plants with the annual capacity to produce 1.6 million automobiles, nearly 2 million engines, 60,000 power equipment products and 200,000 powersports products, as well as the HondaJet advanced light jet and GE Honda HF120 turbofan engines.
