Wisdom Ventures Launches Fund II with $16M First Close to Advance Tech Enabled Wellbeing

Wisdom Ventures, a leading early stage VC fund investing in tech-enabled wellbeing, today announced the launch of its Fund II with its first close of $16 million. The new raise comes after the rapid and successful deployment of its $10 million Fund I. With the new fundraise, Wisdom Ventures will deepen its investment in startups building technologies that drive emotional intelligence, human resilience, and wellbeing at scale.

Fund I Achieves Strong Returns and Human Impact

Wisdom Ventures’ Fund I, which closed in July 2022, has already established the firm as a top-decile performer among early-stage funds by mark-ups. Its portfolio includes 38 startups spanning emotionally intelligent AI, digital health, childhood wellbeing, and employee empowerment. Notably, 74% of the Fund I portfolio companies have diverse founding teams by race, gender, and orientation, with female founders at six of its top seven investments. Fund I also demonstrated the firm’s unique ability to support the wellbeing of its founders and portfolio companies by hosting meditation retreats and monthly community check-in gatherings.

With Fund II, Wisdom Ventures plans to double down on its success investing into companies advancing tech enabled well being. The fund will invest checks ranging from $1 million to $5 million into approximately 35 mission-driven startups, focusing on technologies that integrate emotional intelligence, wellbeing technology, and human-centered platforms. Fund II builds on the firm’s proven foundation, continuing to support founders through offerings and programs that strengthen mental and emotional resilience—laying the groundwork for more valuable, durable, mission-driven companies.
