Polestar 4 wins the 2025 Mille Miglia Green
Polestar wins the 2025 Mille Miglia Green in Italy with the SUV coupé Polestar 4 and the Italian crew Mirco Magni and Federico Giavardi.
After finishing in second place with the electric performance hybrid GT Polestar 1 in 2019 and the fully electric performance fastback Polestar 2 in 2023, Polestar won the iconic race Mille Miglia Green for the first time in 2024 with a Polestar 2 Long range Single motor. This year, Polestar returned to ‘corsa italiana’ to defend last year’s title, with its complete model line-up of Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4. With bespoke racing liveries, the ‘Collezione Mille’, Polestar pays a modern homage to Italy’s rich racing heritage, including large 2,3, and 4 decals expressed in the colours of the Italian flag.
The winning car, a Polestar 4 Long range Single motor version, boasts a range of up to 620 km* powered by a 100-kW battery and a charging capacity of up to 200 kW. The car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres that are optimised for electric vehicles, and which have been co-developed by the Polestar chassis team – for optimal handling characteristics and range optimisation.
Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO says: “Forza Polestar! With motorsport in our DNA, we continue to develop cars that win races. Congratulations to the Italian team for winning this iconic race for the second year in a row”.
The Mille Miglia Green brings the pioneering spirit of the historic Mille Miglia race into the present, with alternative fuel vehicles racing in parallel and on the same routes, as the historic cars.
Mirco Magni, winner of the race, alongside co-pilot Federico Giavardi, says: “Every time feels like the first. The Mille Miglia gets under your skin like no other race in the world. Whether you’re driving a 100-year-old car or one built for the future, it makes little difference — it’s still an unforgettable adventure.”
The Polestar 3 finished in fifth place and the Polestar 2 in sixth place in the 2025 Mille Miglia Green race.
