Clean Water, Clean Energy: DC Nonprofit Unveils Life-Changing Tech at June 21 Event

Discover How a Patented Water Jug and Other Sustainable Solutions Are Transforming Lives in Sub-Saharan Africa

Washington, DC, USA – WEBWIRE

Through sustainable partnerships, Lifeline helps build and maintain fresh water wells and distributes affordable, fuel-efficient stoves that reduce toxic smoke, save time, and cut carbon emissions. This not only improves health and the environment—it transforms lives.

The International Lifeline Fund (Lifeline), a DC-based non-profit that provides clean water and sustainable energy to rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, will host a cocktail party benefit on Saturday, June 21, at the historic Arts Club of Washington. The evening will both showcase Lifeline’s latest innovation — a uniquely designed water jug that helps prevent contamination of drinking water — and celebrate its life-saving achievements.

“Lifeline has helped hundreds of thousands gain access to clean water and sustainable energy by delivering cost-effective, scalable solutions,” said Dan Wolf, Lifeline’s founder. “Our mission is to empower individuals and protect the environment through practical, market-based solutions that meet the basic clean water and energy needs of underserved communities.”

The event—“An Evening of Good Feelings at The Monroe House” — is a cocktail social that will entertain and enlighten guests with a closer look at Lifeline’s mission and its exciting new technology. “We’re anxious to share our story and show how an innovative, yet simple, tweak to an existing product can combat water-borne disease and improve the lives of tens of millions of individuals across Sub-Saharan Africa,” Wolf added.

Guests will learn about Lifeline’s humanitarian efforts during a festive evening inside the former residence of President James Monroe, a cultural landmark that occupies a storied spot in our nation’s history. Click here to learn more and RSVP.

About the International Lifeline Fund
Lifeline empowers communities across Sub-Saharan Africa by addressing the region’s most urgent challenges: access to clean water and energy. Through sustainable partnerships, Lifeline helps build and maintain freshwater wells and produces and distributes affordable, fuel-efficient stoves that reduce toxic smoke, save time and cut carbon emissions.

To date, Lifeline has provided about 350,000 rural villagers with access to clean water and enabled 650,000 households to obtain fuel-saving stoves. As a result, 25 million hours are being saved each year in time spent collecting water and wood and over 1.6 million fewer tons of CO₂ have been released into the atmosphere.

Lifeline is creating lasting change — improving health, livelihoods and the environment — one community at a time. Learn more: https://lifelinefund.org/our-initiatives/clearwater/
