Ida Subaran was born in Jamaica and is of Indian descent. Educated across three continents—including earning her Master of Education from Harvard University—Subaran spent years as an international civil servant with a United Nations technical agency in education. She has lived in diverse cultural settings and brings this global perspective to her writing. Now based in Paris, France, she also paints exotic flowers and landscapes, and recently released a bilingual children’s e-book titled The Date Palm Tree / Le Palmier Dattier.
