UEFA receives environmental leadership award
UEFA today received the Environmental Leadership Award at the Green Sports Alliance Summit, in recognition of our ongoing efforts to integrate responsible environmental practices.

The award is the Alliance’s highest honour, and celebrates individuals and organisations who have made a profound impact on advancing sustainability within the sports industry.
Members of the Green Sports Alliance (GSA) pointed to UEFA’s commitment to pursue a "Road to Zero", with the measurement, reduction and mitigation measures undertaken across the internal organisation and UEFA events.
’’It is a great privilege to receive an award that is of great value when given by an organisation like the GSA.We have a responsibility to do more – to live up to the values this award represents, not just today, but moving forward. This will continue to drive us toward meaningful change in football, in sport, and in the broader society we serve.’’
Michele Uva, UEFA Executive Director of Social and Environmental Sustainability
