Marcus Bettinelli departs Chelsea
Marcus Bettinelli has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Manchester City.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper spent four seasons at Stamford Bridge and was involved in Chelsea squads that won the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Marcus was also instrumental in supporting the work of Chelsea Foundation across various projects, and deservedly received recognition at the CFC Awards 2025 in May when named as the men’s team PFA Community Champion.
Marcus’ sole appearance for the first team came during the 2021/22 campaign. He started our FA Cup third-round tie against Chesterfield, which we won 5-1.
We would like to thank Marcus for his efforts throughout his time with the club and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.
