Barnes & Noble Opens New Store in Dublin

Author Margaret Peterson Haddix to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Book Signing at the Grand Opening at 10AM on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025

Dublin, OH – WEBWIRE

Barnes & Noble is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest bookstore in Dublin, OH on Wednesday, May 28th. The new Barnes & Noble is the relocation of the Dublin Sawmill store, which closed a few short weeks ago on May 4th. The new space is located in Sun Center (3708 W. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43235), next to DSW, in the space formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond.

The new Barnes & Noble will officially open to the public at 10AM EST on Wednesday, May 28th, with author Margaret Peterson Haddix cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her books, including her newest release, The Stolen Key.

The bookstore showcases the highly lauded design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings, featuring all the best books, toys, games and gifts that customers have come to expect from the nation’s premier bookseller. The bookstore will also house an updated B&N Café.

“After 30 years of wear and tear in our old, well-loved Dublin bookstore, an update was sorely needed,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “Here in Sun Center, we are very proud to present a fresh, new and more expansive Barnes & Noble, curated with the community in mind. Our Dublin booksellers cannot wait to greet their longtime customers and welcome new ones into this beautiful new Barnes & Noble.”

Barnes & Noble is enjoying a period of tremendous growth as the strategy to hand control of each bookstore to its local booksellers has proven so successful. The bookseller is experiencing strong sales in its existing stores and has been opening many new stores after more than 15 years of declining store numbers. In 2024, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores in a single year than it had in the whole decade from 2009 to 2019. The bookseller expects to open over 60 new bookstores in 2025.

The Dublin location is one of three new Barnes & Noble bookstores set to open in May, alongside new stores in Connecticut and Washington. Each grand opening has drawn enthusiastic crowds that wrap around the building, filling the store as the ribbon is cut.

“I am so thankful for this community supporting the Sawmill location over the last 30 years,” said Store Manager Jonathan Bauer, longtime Barnes & Noble Bookseller. “I feel very proud to present this new Barnes & Noble to a very excited Dublin community!”
