Serving the greater good has always been a big part of Dropbox’s culture. This year, we continue that tradition through Dropbox for Good, our long-running internal volunteering and giving initiative founded by employees. The program is designed to help our team find meaningful ways to connect, give back, and make an impact within their communities and beyond.

We’ve seen a surge in employee participation through the first half of the year—and we’re just getting started. Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished in 2025 so far.

Dropbox recognized as a global leader in corporate volunteering

In February, Dropbox received Goodera’s Innovator Award—a recognition reserved for organizations that push the boundaries of corporate volunteering through tech-enabled, creative, and scalable solutions.

The award reflects our continued commitment to embedding social impact into the employee experience and making it easier for teams to give back, wherever they are.

“The culture at Dropbox is very special and having employees show up to volunteer worldwide shows how much they care for each other and for the communities we support,“ said Tina Lee, Head of Social Impact and Sustainability.

Impact Day 2025

We wrapped up the first half of the year with Impact Day—a global celebration of service and a dedicated opportunity for employees to volunteer for causes they care about. This year, 240+ Dropboxers contributed more than 900 volunteer hours, participating in virtual and in-person events across 10+ cities worldwide.

Impact Day isn’t just about volunteering. It’s also about nurturing meaningful relationships within our own neighborhoods—whether that’s through making teddy bears for patients at Family House in San Francisco or hosting young adults with disabilities at our Dublin office with CASA, two of our long-standing community partners.

For Jimi Gilroy, Dropbox for Good Lead in San Francisco, Impact Day is about coming together as employees to serve the larger community. “It was great to learn from our community partner about how our volunteering makes a real positive impact on their clients’ lives. It was also great to connect with colleagues outside of our day-to-day work and chat with people that I may not bump into otherwise,” he said.

Others reflected on the connections they made with local organizations. “Impact Day with My Lovely Horse Rescue was a truly rewarding experience that allowed me to give back while building stronger connections with colleagues,” said Agnieszka Szmyla, Dropbox for Good Lead in Dublin. “Spending time helping out at the rescue made me appreciate the commitment it takes to care for these animals and the impact of small acts of kindness.

Helping clean up at Doug’s Place [in Seattle] was a welcome refresher away from my screens and meetings. What they’re doing is amazing and I am really proud of how Dropbox showed up and got it done,” said Cole Bienek, Seattle Dropbox for Good Lead.

What’s next?

Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re building on this exciting momentum. We’re exploring new global partnerships, improving our internal volunteering platform, and continuing to offer employees impactful ways to make a difference.

“I’m so thrilled to see the momentum in bringing our employees together to support our nonprofit partners,” said Tina Lee. “Whether we come together virtually or in-person, there’s something for everyone. Every bit goes a long way.”
