Matiyas, who hails from Trinidad & Tobago and currently resides in the Washington, DC area, wrote this book out of a deep reverence for Ethiopian and Eritrean history and culture, and a lifelong love for sci-fi, fantasy, and biblical epics. His richly imagined world blends historical influence with spiritual undertones, crafted from a palette of his own artistic and cultural passions.
