TINSEL TOWN WILL LAUNCH ON SKY CINEMA CHRISTMAS 2025
Sky Cinema has offered audiences a first glimpse of the much-anticipated Christmas extravaganza Tinsel Town starring the Emmy Award-winning Kiefer Sutherland (Designated Survivor, 24) and actress, writer and producer Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, JoJo Rabbit) in the lead roles.
Sutherland plays Bradley Mack, a failed Hollywood action star who ends up in a small, snow-dusted village to star in the town’s eccentric production of Cinderella. Here, he encounters a colourful cast of oddball locals who slowly come to hold a special place in his heart, including no-nonsense choreographer Jill (Wilson).
Comedian Katherine Ryan (The Duchess) will take on the role of Mack’s long suffering agent with the local villagers played by the legendary British actor Derek Jacobi (Gladiator II), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Maria Friedman (Unforgotten), Jason Manford (Waterloo Road), Asim Chaudhry (People Just do Nothing) Danny Dyer (Rivals), Ray Fearon (Barbie), Alice Eve (Star Trek In To Darkness), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris) and James Lance (Ted Lasso) with Meera Syal (The Wheel of Time), taking on the role of the productions’ director. Breakout star Savannah Lee Smith (Cruel Intentions) will also feature alongside Theodora Williams in her on-screen feature debut, Matilda Firth (Wolf Man) and Eden Hamilton (The Railway Children Return).
The first-look image depicts Bradley Mack (Sutherland) with his daughter Emma (Matilda Firth), alongside Jill (Wilson) and her daughter Cara (Theodora Williams) attending a local school Christmas fair.
The script was penned by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown and Piers Ashworth with additional material by Jake Brunger, and directed by Chris Foggin (Bank of Dave). The film was produced by Matt Williams and Pascal Degove at FAE alongside Executive Producers Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, Martin Owen and Julia Stuart.
Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales for the film, with early sales completed with the following distributors: DeaPlaneta in Spain, Kinoswiat in Poland, Front Row Filmed Entertainment in the Middle East, Active Cinema Group in Ukraine, ACME in the Baltics, Blitz Film in Ex-Yugoslavia, Odeon/Femeway/The Film Group in Greece, United King in Israel, and Empire Entertainment in South Africa. Mister Smith will continue international sales this week at Cannes Film Festival.
Tinsel Town will be coming to Sky Cinema for Christmas 2025.
