Gloria Iatridis and Olivia Kate Iatridis Wows Reviewers With Heartfelt Yet Detailed Book Sharing Advice and Personal Stories About Working in The Film Industry

When it comes to raising child actors, most parents don’t get the necessary information upfront and learn by experience only. However, book reviewers have found a rare exception with Gloria and Olivia Kate Iatridis’ book “Booked: A Strong Start For Your Child Actor.” Those who have assessed the book have found it focused on its goal to provide actionable information for parents of kids whose dreams are in film and theatre and the book benefits more than just young actors.

“Iatridis has accepted the challenge of assisting her child in a rising and increasingly complex calling, and, with Olivia now matured to manage and advance her own opportunities, has created this pragmatic memoir filled with advice based on sometimes hard-won but always determined experience.” – The US Review of Books

To this day, any person who looks up the topic of child actors is more likely to find controversial headlines and gossip columns as well as a slew of cautionary documentaries featuring famous child actors of the past.

For a Canadian mother like Gloria Iatridis, this had always seemed quite a disservice when her daughter Olivia was growing up to become quite a talented and passionate actress in her own right.

Yet, despite weathering through the gritty challenges in the industry, she and Olivia have managed to make it work out well. Olivia has appeared in a number of films and television series from big names like Hallmark and Netflix. She received three Joey Awards (Canada’s own prestigious award for young performers).

Still, Gloria has long wished to share the lessons they’ve learned when they were starting out so that other families with budding child stars won’t be easily discouraged by all the controversy the career path entails. It is why they co-wrote a book simply titled “Booked: A Strong Start For Your Child Actor.”

“Booked” is a book that also had its own share of positive reception, with The US Review of Books stating, “The detailed explanations and recommendations offered here will undoubtedly achieve the author’s purpose to aid those parents in a situation similar to hers to ably and enthusiastically assume the role of manager, guide, and guard for the young actor, and achieve as their reward the joy of celebrating their child’s successes.”

For a lot of people, there is a mixed reputation that comes with being labeled a stage parent. But for Gloria and Olivia, this shouldn’t get in the way of real facts about the industry’s lesser-known challenges that can also be navigated when equipped with the right knowledge.

Still, the pair have many more projects in the works and haven’t slowed down on their road to artistic success. Those who would like to learn more can visit their website at https://booked-it.ca/.
