Final Call -- Newswomen’s Club of New York Accepting Entries for 67th Annual Presentation Front Page Awards; Entry Deadline Aug. 1


NEW YORK, July 19 -- Just a reminder, the Newswomen’s Club of New York is still accepting entries for the 67th annual presentation of its Front Page Awards. Entry deadline is Aug. 1, 2005.

Entries must have been published or aired between Aug. 1, 2004, and July 31, 2005, and postmarked no later than Aug. 1, 2005. Entry forms, rules, divisions and categories for the competition can be obtained at:

The prestigious competition is open to women journalists, photographers, writers, producers from print, radio and television, and online media in the New York major metropolitan area. Contest divisions include newspapers, wires, photojournalism, radio and television, magazines and Internet media, with subcategories in each. New this year, blogs and Interactive media have been added to the Internet division, and Internet photography has been added to the photography division.

The awards will be presented on Nov. 10, 2005, at the historic National Arts Club on Gramercy Park. Past winners include journalists and photographers from Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsday, Herald News, New York Daily News, MSNBC, Dow Jones Newswires, Reuters, The Star Ledger, ABC, Sports Illustrated, NPR, Associated Press, and WNYC.
