Kate Love – Exhibition Announcement

April 9, 2025, London, UK - Previously available only by private commission, Kate Love’s first public collection unveils selected works from her evocative series Solstice and In Concert. A classically trained singer, Kate brings a unique sensitivity to her visual art, infusing her work with a deep sense of rhythm, emotion, and resonance.

Living with a progressive disability that affects both her vision and physical mobility, Kate explores the experience of disconnection—both psychological and sensory—through blurred forms and intangible layers. Her compositions often hover between presence and absence, offering viewers a glimpse into her shifting perception of the world.

Her latest body of work, In Concert, bridges her dual artistic identities, using the language of colour and abstraction to interpret the dramatic heroines of opera. Drawing inspiration from composers such as Wagner and Bizet, the series captures the vibrance, fragility, and darkness of these characters, translating their arias into visual harmonies.

Kate Love’s work is a deeply personal act of translation—of voice into vision, and of physical limitation into expressive freedom.

Kate is proud to present her work as part of the international group exhibition From Hollywood to Whetstone – Crossing Continents, opening on 10 April 2025 from 6:30 to 9:30pm at 1306 High Road, London, N20 9HJ.

Hosted by Lord Heywood-Clarke and curated by Anthony Mackay Fawcett, the exhibition brings together diverse artistic voices from across the globe, exploring the boundaries of place, perception, and creative identity.
