President Čeferin welcomes new KFF president to UEFA HQ

UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin hosted new Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) president Marat Omarov in Nyon this week.

Mr Omarov was elected in late 2024 and made his first visit to UEFA HQ to discuss the game’s rapid development in Kazakhstan – the KFF won a UEFA Grassroots Award last season – and the federation’s ambition of staging more international football events.

In futsal, Kazakhstan’s men stand third in UEFA’s national-team rankings with Kairat Almaty one of Europe’s top club teams.
