Julia Bartel departs on loan
Julia Bartel has completed a loan move to fellow Women’s Super League side Liverpool for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The 20-year-old midfielder joined the Blues from Barcelona in her native Spain in the summer of 2024, signing a three-year deal.
She made her Chelsea debut in the UEFA Champions League in October when she came off the bench in the Netherlands during a 3-1 win over FC Twente.
Her second substitute appearance also arrived on the European stage when the Blues beat Celtic 3-0 at Stamford Bridge the following month.
Soon after joining Chelsea, Bartel’s attention turned to international duty as she represented Spain at the U-20s World Cup in Colombia where her country reached the quarter-finals.
