Today, Apple was recognized with six nominations for the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards for celebrated and hit original series “Slow Horses,” “Shrinking” and “Disclaimer.” The 31st Annual SAG Awards will be presented on February 23, 2025 in Los Angeles.

Apple’s Emmy Award-winning thriller “Slow Horses” scores a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, while Academy Award-winning lead Gary Oldman earns an Outstanding Performance in a Drama nod for his widely acclaimed performance as Jackson Lamb. On the heels of its season two finale, Emmy Award-nominated hit “Shrinking” earns an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series nomination, alongside an Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series nod for Academy Award-nominated star Harrison Ford, in one of his first television roles as Dr. Paul Rhoades. Golden Globe-nominated limited series “Disclaimer” earns Outstanding Performance in a Television Movie or Limited Series nominations for powerful performances by Academy Award-winning leads Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, as Catherine Ravenscroft and Stephen Brigstocke, respectively.

These nominations are the latest recognition for Apple Originals from the Screen Actors Guild. Last year, Apple Original Films’ “Killers of the Flower Moon” made history at the SAG Awards as star Lily Gladstone became the first-ever Indigenous performer to land a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her groundbreaking work in Martin Scorsese’s acclaimed 10-time Academy Award-nominated film. In 2022, Apple Original Films’ historic Academy Award-winning Best Picture “CODA” landed top honors as the first film with a predominantly Deaf cast to receive the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, and lead actor Troy Kotsur as the first Deaf actor to receive an individual SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Global phenomenon “Ted Lasso” landed Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2022, as star and executive producer Jason Sudeikis scored back-to-back wins for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in 2021 and 2022, and Apple’s global hit series “The Morning Show” has also previously been honored with a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in 2020 for Jennifer Aniston’s dynamic performance.

In total, Apple received six SAG Award nominations today, including:

“Slow Horses”

  • Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series
  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series — Gary Oldman

“Shrinking”

  • Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series — Harrison Ford

“Disclaimer”

  • Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series — Cate Blanchett
  • Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series — Kevin Kline

“Slow Horses”

This darkly funny espionage drama follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes. Led by their brilliant but irascible leader, the notorious Jackson Lamb (Academy Award winner Gary Oldman), they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.

“Shrinking”

Starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in one of his first television roles, “Shrinking” follows grieving therapist Jimmy (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.

“Disclaimer”

“Disclaimer” is a gripping psychological thriller in seven chapters, starring Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Written and directed by five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, “Disclaimer” is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Renée Knight. Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.

As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). The ensemble cast includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon, and features Indira Varma as the narrator.
