The Philadelphia 76ers (13-18) face the second half of a road back-to-back to begin 2025, which also marks their first meeting of the season with the Golden State Warriors (16-16) . The Warriors have been off since a 113-95 home loss to Cleveland on Monday, while the Sixers enter the matchup after a 113-107 setback last night in Sacramento.

Below are Six Stats to know ahead of Thursday’s contest…

  1. This is the fourth back-to-back of the season for the Sixers, who are still seeking their first win in the second game, despite being 2-2 on the front end.
  2. Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey on Wednesday posted his 10th straight 20-point (27) and three 3-pointer game, the latter of which extended his franchise record. He also matched a career-high with five steals.
  3. Teammate Paul George dropped 20 of his team-high 30 points in the first half against the Kings.
  4. The all-time series between the 76ers and Warriors favors the Sixers, 170-157, but they haven’t won at Golden State since Nov. 24, 2021 (three tries).
  5. In early November, the Warriors’ 10-time NBA All-Star Stephen Curry (24,241 career points) passed Hall of Famer Charles Barkley (23,757) to move into 30th place on the league’s all-time scoring list. The next player for Curry to reach is another former 76er, Allen Iverson (24,368). Note: Sacramento’s DeMar DeRozan has since surpassed Barkley for 30th, as well.
  6. The Warriors shot a season-low 33.3% from the field and only 23.7% from 3-point range in their most recent game against the Cavaliers.

76ERS-WARRIORS INJURY REPORT

The Warriors listed Draymond Green (left low back contusion) as probable, Stephen Curry (right thumb sprain) and Kyle Anderson (illness) as questionable, and Gary Payton II (left calf strain) and Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal tightness) as out on the injury report entering gameday morning.

Joel Embiid (left foot sprain), Kelly Oubre Jr. (left hand sprain), KJ Martin (left foot stress reaction), and Jared McCain (left knee meniscus surgery) missed Wednesday’s front half of this back-to-back for the Sixers.
