Samsung Unveils Premium OB/GYN Ultrasound System ‘HERA Z20’ in ISUOG World Congress 2024

Samsung Medison, a global medical equipment company and an affiliate of Samsung Electronics, participates the 34th annual academic conference of ISUOG World Congress 2024 (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology) held in Budapest, Hungary from 15 to 18 September.

Samsung Medison showcases HERA Z20, a new premium ultrasound system for OB&GYN, in ISUOG regarded as the most important academic conference in the world in the field of OB&GYN ultrasound.

HERA Z20 further enhanced the cutting edge AI diagnostic assistance features to improve health of women and fetuses. The Live ViewAssist™ provides a real-time diagnosis location, is newly integrated to HERA Z20. The Live ViewAssist™ reduces time required for measurement and increases accuracy by automatically classifying cross sections and providing measurement results for entire quarter of OB&GYN.

Live Q-scan and A-Focus™ features have been newly added to HERA Z20 to provide a more uniform image and sharper image quality. The Live Q-scan reduces noises that appear during the ultrasound examination in real-time, and A-Focus™ provides clearer images in every scanning depth. Crystal Architecture™, Samsung Healthcare proprietary ultrasound imaging technology, also uses the upgraded second generation engine to increase clarity of image.

HERA Z20 enhances user convenience through My HERA™ going beyond the AI diagnostic assist feature. My HERA™ as a feature enabling user to build personalized ultrasound system by setting the diagnostic setting values for each user type in advance, can be customized depending on user preference.

Additionally, the EzStructure™ and EzFlow™ features provide convenient, optimal imaging settings for the anatomy to be examined with a single touch of a button. The main monitor and touch panel have freely adjustable angles and are ergonomically tailored for user convenience.

Samsung Medison plans to conduct a live scan of the HERA Z20 onsite to showcase the real-time AI diagnostic assist and reporting features that are faster and stronger than before.

In ISUOG, Samsung Medison also introduces theSUITE website for the first time along with HERA Z20 where educational contents of Samsung ultrasound system are complied. The new website membership registration event will be held to celebrate theSUITE launch in ISUOG. Samsung Medison will utilize theSUITE to improve access to the information of each product feature for domestic and overseas medical professionals and secure global bidding competitiveness.

Meanwhile, Samsung Medison pursues the realization of eco-friendly values based on IT technology of Samsung from the product development stage by minimizing energy consumption through analysis of customer’s product usage pattern.

HERA Z20 has reduced the product volume minimizing the number of components by incorporating circuit integration technology mainly utilized for mobile devices, etc. In addition, the packaging and cushioning materials are the replaced with 100% recycled paper by optimizing the packing design to withstand heavy load on paper, and eco-friendly recycled plastic material is utilized for the system body.
