New Whole Foods Market in Phoenix to Open October 16
New relocated store features a full-service coffee and juice bar, and more than 330 local products from 74+ Arizona-based suppliers
Whole Foods Market will open a 50,358-square-foot store located in the new Paradise Valley Mall at 12500 N Tatum Blvd, Phoenix, Arizona, on October 16. The store is a relocation of the existing Paradise Valley store (10810 N Tatum Blvd), which has served the community for 22 years. The store will open at 9:00 a.m. on opening day. Regular store hours will be 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily.
This new, brighter store features decor that captures the essence of Arizona, including desert landscapes. The larger footprint provides more parking spaces and allows for an indoor and outdoor seating area, as well as expanded product assortment featuring more than 330 local items from Arizona, sourced with the help of Lisa Tosun, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market.
Features of the new Paradise Valley store include:
- An array of certified organic, conventional and Sourced for Good produce, including local herbs, shishito peppers and hard squash from Duncan Family Farms, outdoor herbs from Dream With Colors and Kandy Melons from Martori Farms.
- An expanded Bakery department featuring a full-service coffee and juice bar. The Bakery will also offer made-in-house bread as well as everyday favorites, such as Whole Foods Market’s Berry Chantilly Cake and brown butter cookies, and a wide variety of special diet items, including vegan brownies, cakes, and chocolate chip cookies along with several gluten-free selections.
- A larger Prepared Foods department featuring a hot bar, salad bar and fresh pizza. Customers can also shop for made-to-order sandwiches and rotisserie chicken.
- An expanded Whole Body department with a large assortment of wellness, beauty and lifestyle items. Local products include candles from Enlighten Candles and hand-crafted vegan soaps from Strawberry Hedgehog.
- Specialty department dedicated to celebrating cheesemakers and artisan producers. Local items include chocolate bars and barks from Chuao Chocolatier, salami and snacks from Gusto, and fudge from Black Mesa Ranch. The cheese counter is overseen by trained cheesemongers and a Certified Cheese Professional who can offer recommendations for any occasion and create custom boards.
- Curated grocery section filled with favorites from 365 by Whole Foods Market and local products, including grains and flours from Hayden Flour Mills, chia cookies from Audrey’s Chia, and milk, orange juice, and lemonade from Danzeisen.
- Full-service seafood counter featuring only sustainable wild-caught or Responsibly Farmed seafood and a large selection of ready-to-cook seafood.

Opening day festivities include:
