Barbie and Walmart Introduce Exclusive Barbie World Collection, Fostering a More Personalized Play Experience for All

Barbie World marks Mattel and Walmart’s next step in providing a more customizable play experience, enabling families to pick a doll that resonates with them and build out their Barbie World even further. Shoppers can select furniture and accessories packs, then choose a doll that resonates with them separately to customize their own Barbie World to stand alone or add these pieces to their existing Barbie system of play.

Mattel and Walmart’s exclusive Barbie World collection introduces a whole new way to play. The Mattel global insights team consistently has an ear to the ground, following the latest play patterns and trends to better deliver on kids’ and parents’ needs. Customer insights from Walmart Luminate indicated the need for a broader representation of dolls for their customers and the desire for more customization opportunities. The Barbie World collection includes a range of playsets based on trending activities kids love and want to act out through doll play and encourages them to pick a doll that resonates with them from an inclusive selection. The Barbie World playsets range from caring for animals to water sports to daily household tasks – all designed to spark creativity and inspire endless storytelling. Items include:

  • Barbie World™ Garden Set: The garden plot has a sprouted vine where kids can help Barbie hang ’n pluck the grape, tomato, and strawberry accessories for a bountiful harvest every time they play.
