Suzanne Guèvremont is pleased to announce that Julia Qiwen Zhu is the National Film Board of Canada’s new Chief Financial Officer and Director General, Finance and Administration, effective August19.

Julia Qiwen Zhu, CPA, CMA, brings more than 15 years of experience in performance planningoperational and commercial strategiesenterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and digital transformation across a wide range of sectors.

More about Julia Qiwen Zhu

Prior to joining the NFB, Julia was VP Finance (CFO) of CM Labs Simulations, a simulators and software company based in Montreal.

She was previously Director of Finance Transformation at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), and served as Controller, Technology Finance, and Global Director, Commercial Performance and Transformation, for Technicolor Creative Studios.

Julia’s past experience also includes serving as Director, FP&A and Commercial Ops, at Guavus, a Thales company; Advisor, Strategic Planning and Development, Valero Energy; as well as Manager, Commercial Finance, at Essilor.

She is a graduate of the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, in Montreal.
