XM’s Web Site is Webby Award "Official Honoree" for Superior Quality and Excellence

Washington, DC – XM, the nation’s leading satellite radio service with more than 7.6 million subscribers, has been named a 2007 Webby Award “Official Honoree.” The distinction was given to xmradio.com, the XM Web site, for superior quality and excellence.

The XM site was produced by Avenue A | Razorfish and the XM Online Marketing team who managed the design and development of the xmradio.com revision.

The Webby Awards have been described by the New York Times as the online equivalent of the Oscars. Judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), the Awards honor the best Web sites for what the Academy deems “outstanding work that is setting the standard for the Internet.”

The 11th Annual Webby Awards received a record 8,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states. Out more than 8,000 entries submitted, fewer than 15 percent received this honor and were deemed Official Honorees.
