Blue Ridge Numerics To Sponsor Formula SAE Collegiate Design Competition

Blue Ridge Numerics is pleased to announce their corporate sponsorship of the Formula SAE Competition to be held May 16-20 at the Ford Proving Grounds near Romeo, Michigan.

Along with this sponsorship, representatives from Blue Ridge Numerics will present the inaugural CFdesign Computational Fluid Dynamics Award to the team who exhibits the best implementation of computational fluid dynamics for component or system design.

“We are very pleased that Blue Ridge Numerics is supporting our Formula SAE competition. Many of the design challenges teams have to solve when designing a winning Formula SAE entry lend themselves to the use of computational fluid dynamics. The skills students develop in applying CFD tools to their Formula project will serve them well in their engineering careers,” said Steven Daum, Formula SAE Program Manager.
