Project Healing Waters (PHW) Selected As 2024 Grant Recipient By The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation (JSFF)

Windsor, Colorado, USA – WEBWIRE

Project Healing Waters (‘PHW’), a reputable national 501(c)(3) organization with a 19-year legacy, celebrates its partner organization, The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation (JSFF), in recognition of being named as one of JSFF’s 2024 Grant Recipients for the nonprofit’s unique distinction in addressing America’s Veteran population.

The awarded funding will support Project Healing Waters’ programming for Veterans across the country, allowing local programs to continue their critically important curriculum. This curriculum includes fly rod building, fly tying, and fly casting, with the purpose of restoring the camaraderie and connectedness that Veterans so often lose after separation from the military.

A central element of the success of PHW programs is getting Veteran participants out in nature together for fly fishing outings; to benefit from the restorative properties of the outdoors; the JSFF grant will empower a number of local programs to do exactly that.

Originating in 2005 as an initiative aiding wounded military personnel at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, particularly those returning from conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, Project Healing Waters has grown to establish its acclaimed initiative not only throughout the VA system, but also alongside partner organizations and fly fishing clubs across the country… Veterans meet, learn, and heal alongside Veteran and non-military volunteers in nearly 200 communities nationwide.

John ’Saint’ Langford, Project Healing Waters Chief Executive Officer (CEO) stated that, “We are incredibly grateful for the generous grant provided to us through the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation.”

“Jordan’s mantra, ’a man for others,’ captures the mindset of our Volunteers, who dedicate and invest their time and experience to ensure our Participants are led along the pathways of resilience that contribute to their own unique journey of healing. This grant will help us increase the impact of our programs, and we deeply appreciate that the JSFF recognizes the importance of the Project Healing Waters’ mission.”

The philanthropic organization founded by acclaimed professional golfer Jordan Spieth reflects the off and on course experiences which shaped his personal charitable outlook.

The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation offers a platform for Jordan to lend time, help grow awareness and offer financial support for four philanthropic areas: individuals with special needs, junior golf, military families and veterans, and pediatric cancer.
