Vox Media announced it’s partnering with NYU Stern Marketing professor Scott Galloway on a new spinoff of his award-winning podcast, The Prof G Pod. Launching on May 20th, Prof G Markets will become a standalone show, offering audiences more of Galloway and research analyst Ed Elson’s brash insights and analysis into what’s moving the capital markets. New episodes of the show will come out on Mondays and Thursdays and be available on podcast and video platforms. Fundrise Innovation Fund is the official launch sponsor of Prof G Markets.

“In addition to covering the headlines, we wanted the bandwidth to go much deeper on specific stories, stocks, and sectors,” says Galloway of the decision to launch Prof G Markets. “Understanding the markets is critical for anyone who wants to stay informed. The trouble is doing that without getting bored. That’s what we’ve solved with Prof G Markets — and we can’t wait to bring it to an even larger audience,” says Elson.

Prof G Markets marks an expansion of Vox Media’s partnership with Prof G Media, which recently added Galloway’s Webby award-winning newsletter, No Mercy / No Malice, to its sales portfolio. The weekly publication features Scott’s unique blend of personal narrative and provocative business insights and reaches half a million email subscribers in addition to an audio companion (narrated by actor George Hahn and published on Saturdays in the Prof G Pod feed). Other recent collaborations between Vox Media and Prof G Media include the launch of “First Time Founders with Ed Elson,” a special weekly series featuring honest and vulnerable conversations with up-and-coming entrepreneurs, as well as a live-taping of The Prof G Pod at South by Southwest sponsored by Atlassian at their Austin office.

“Scott is required listening for business leaders and decision-makers,” says Vox Media’s SVP and general manager for audio and digital video, Ray Chao. “We’re proud to partner with him to accelerate growth of his ever-expanding portfolio of leading media properties.”

One of the top 10 podcast publishers according to leading industry tracker, Podtrac, the Vox Media Podcast Network is home to the most influential audio creators and an unrivaled slate of business programming that includes Pivot (hosted by Galloway and journalist Kara Swisher), Unlocking Us (hosted by research professor Brené Brown), Decoder (hosted by The Verge’s editor-in-chief Nilay Patel), The Pitch (hosted by entrepreneur Josh Muccio), and more.

On Mondays, “Markets” will publish jointly in the The Prof G Pod and Prof G Markets podcast feeds. On Thursdays, “Markets” will exclusively publish in the Prof G Markets podcast feed. The trailer for Prof G Markets is out today and available here. Listeners can subscribe to the show on Apple, Spotify, or YouTube.
