WEBWIRE

Drumheller, Alberta (July 5th, 2005) This July, six-year-old Josiah Schultz from Victoria, British Columbia, will finally fulfill his dream of visiting the dinosaur capital of Canada, through the efforts of Project Drumheller.

By the age of six, Josiah has already demonstrated a passionate interest in dinosaurs and dreams of one day becoming a palaeontologist. Growing up in Victoria, Josiah spent his time pursuing his fascination with natural science, watching every dinosaur program he could find, including the BBC series, Walking with Dinosaurs, Prehistoric Planet, and National Geographic Dinosaur Hunters. Josiah is familiar with the names of numerous dinosaur species and has learned many facts and details about dinosaurs through encyclopedias and other scientific books.

Lisa, Josiah’s mother, has always wanted to help Josiah fulfill his dream of visiting Drumheller and to support his keen interest in palaeontology. Project Drumheller has banded together to help Lisa in realizing Josiah’s dream, by ensuring that Josiah is able to visit Drumheller, the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and Dinosaur Provincial Park. Various sponsors have signed on to contribute to Project Drumheller through the web site, http://www.projectdrumheller.com.

During his visit to Alberta, Josiah and his mother Lisa will visit Dinosaur Provincial Park, where they will meet with Royal Tyrrell Museum Dinosaur Curator, Dr. Philip Currie, on July 10. Once in Drumheller, Josiah and Lisa will visit the Tyrrell, participating in the Museum’s Summer Day Camp program on July 12, and in the Museum’s Dinosite hike on the morning of July 13.

Some of the sponsors for Project Drumheller include the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Mindful Canada, Cheryl Kaye Tardif Novels (Imajin Creations), 24-7PressRelease.com, Shaw TV Red Deer, West Edmonton Mall, The Drumheller Valley Times, The Drumheller Mail Ltd., Curves (Victoria), Estevan Pharmacy, Swedish Bakery and Cake Shop, Thrifty’s Food Store and more.
