DS Automobiles Presents Its ‘Grand Gala’ Single-Seater for the Monaco E-prix

• DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT have revealed a special livery for the Monaco E-Prix, which takes place on April 27

• For the most glamorous appointment of the season, the DS E-TENSE FE23 will wear a colour scheme inspired by the elegance of evening dress seen at the glittering Principality’s gala events

• With gold logos on a black background, the Franco-American team’s DS E-TENSE FE 23 ‘Grand Gala’ is set to combine both style and performance

As usual, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship stops off at Monaco shortly. And for this seventh edition of the famous race, DS Automobiles and PENSKE AUTOSPORT have decided to celebrate the prestige and glamour of the renowned principality.

As a result, the premium French manufacturer and its American partner have come up with a unique livery to mark the occasion. In a shade of jet black that’s emblematic of DS Automobiles with gold logo highlights, the DS E-TENSE FE23 ‘Grand Gala’ pays tribute to the stylish evening dress synonymous with functions around Monaco, to celebrate the most famous motor race of them all.

The DS E-TENSE FE23 developed by DS Performance was particularly quick in the two qualifying sessions at the Misano circuit in Italy last weekend from 13-14 April, and the ‘Grand Gala’ version is also ready to shine around the streets of Monaco.

At the wheel will be two-time Formula E champion (and 2019 Monaco E-Prix winner) Jean-Eric Vergne, alongside team mate Stoffel Vandoorne: the 2022 Formula E champion, and winner of the Monaco E-Prix in the same year.

The drivers will also wear overalls and helmets that match the stunning colours of the DS E-TENSE FE23 ‘Grand Gala’. To get around the principality throughout the weekend, they will also have an exceptional DS 7 E-TENSE 4x4 360 road car in the same ‘Grand Gala’ dress code.

Finally, to celebrate this unique livery, an ‘Automobilist’ poster will be created and made available to the public throughout the weekend of the race.

The Monaco E-Prix gets underway on Saturday 27 April at 15:00 CET.
