New Balance and Shohei Ohtani Unveil Logo Ahead of Season Start

Today, New Balance and Shohei Ohtani officially revealed the two-time American League MVP’s logo at the start of the MLB World Tour: Seoul Series presented by Coupang Play. As the only player in MLB history to receive multiple American League MVP titles through a unanimous vote, Shohei continues to break records in baseball and bring new fans to the sport. 

Shohei’s logo shows his athleticism and unique ability as a hitter and pitcher marking a significant moment in an already historic career. Shohei’s love of the game is most evident in his base running, and his logo is a sketch of him rounding first base; a nod to his base running ability which further highlights his dominance in the sport.

To celebrate Shohei’s new logo, New Balance will host an exclusive pop-up at the brand’s Brentwood location on Wednesday, March 27th from 3-7PM where fans can purchase a limited-edition t-shirt featuring the new logo. In addition, New Balance and Shohei will have 50 New Balance gloves available for sale that are replicas of the very glove that was created specifically for Shohei.
