Ben Chilwell, Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer have all been called up by England manager Gareth Southgate for a pair of high-profile warm-up games ahead of this summer’s European Championship.

With qualification already secured for Euro 2024 in Germany later this year, England will begin their preparations for that tournament in earnest with back-to-back friendlies at Wembley during next week’s international break, hosting Brazil on Saturday 23 March and then Belgium three days later.

There will be three Chelsea players involved in those matches after Ben Chilwell, Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer all received call-ups for the March international break.

Chilwell is recalled for the first time since the qualifiers in September, having missed the last two international windows due to injury, while Gallagher continues his run of being named in every England squad since the 2022 World Cup, having made five appearances during Euro qualifying.

Palmer’s impressive form for Chelsea is recognised again with his second senior England call-up, after playing his first games for the Three Lions in the final two qualification matches in November.
