Film4 celebrates 6 Oscar® wins including Best International Feature Film and Best Actress
Winning films: POOR THINGS and THE ZONE OF INTEREST
Channel 4’s feature film division, Film4, today celebrates 6 Oscar® wins including Best International Feature Film and Best Actress – Emma Stone. The two Film4-backed films awarded are Yorgos Lanthimos’ POOR THINGS and Jonathan Glazer’s THE ZONE OF INTEREST.
This news follows a successful awards season for Film4-backed films including 9 collective BAFTA wins for POOR THINGS, THE ZONE OF INTEREST, and EARTH MAMA including ‘Outstanding British Film’ and ‘Outstanding Debut for a British Director, Writer or Producer’ – plus HOW TO HAVE SEX lead Mia McKenna-Bruce received the Rising Star Award. Film4-backed films also won 14 BIFAs in December including Best British Independent Film for ALL OF US STRANGERS, and 2 Golden Globes for POOR THINGS including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
