Coca-Cola Europacific Partners is recognised by CDP for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change and water security

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has been recognised for its leadership in sustainability by global environmental non-profit CDP for the eighth year running, for tacking climate change and acting to enhance water security.

We are one of a small number of companies that has been awarded an ‘A’ score for transparency on climate change, giving us a place on the CDP’s prestigious ‘A’ List for the eighth time. We also achieved an ‘A-‘ score for our action on water security.

This reflects our continued progress against our This is Forward sustainability action plan and our target to reach net zero emissions by 2040, which was recently approved as being in line with climate science by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

CDP runs a global environmental disclosure system which annually requests corporate disclosure on climate change, water security and forests on behalf of 740+ investors with over US$136 trillion in asset. CCEP is one of 24,000 companies to disclose via CDP.

Joe Franses, VP Sustainability at CCEP said:

“We are proud to receive external recognition for our sustainability work, but this year it’s also encouraging to see a 24% increase in the number of companies disclosing information to CDP.

“It’s a clear sign that businesses are taking climate change and water security seriously. For us transparency and disclosure is a really important part of our approach. Whilst we have more to do, recognition from CDP gives us confidence that we are on the right track.”

Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP, said:

“Congratulations to all the companies on CDP’s A List. It is only by laying the groundwork of disclosure that companies can show they are serious about the vital part they play in securing a net-zero, nature-positive future. Earning a place on the A List is about more than the score. It’s an indication of high quality, complete data that equips companies with a holistic view of their environmental impact, serves as a baseline for transition plans and – crucially – enables them to follow through on their ambitions.”
