Kodak Donates TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM Platesetter and PRINERGY EVO Workflow System to California Polytechnic State University

California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) upgraded its Digital Imaging Lab with an equipment donation from Kodak that included a KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM Platesetter and KODAK PRINERGY EVO Workflow System.

“This is a major addition to our prepress laboratory capabilities. With the TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM platesetter and PRINERGY EVO workflow system, our students are learning on the latest technology of its kind,” said Harvey Levenson, Department Head, Graphic Communication Department, Cal Poly. “In addition, the processless capabilities of the TRENDSETTER platesetter support the continuing ‘greening’ of the graphic communications industry, a trend that we all welcome.”

This latest donation of KODAK solutions expands Cal Poly’s Digital Imaging Laboratory, which includes another KODAK TRENDSETTER platesetter as well as black and white and color digital and variable data printing systems.

The KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM platesetter uses KODAK SQUARESPOT Thermal Imaging Technology to produce accurate, exceptional imaging quality. The TRENDSETTER platesetter also supports processless plates, thermal film and proofing media. The PRINERGY EVO workflow system centralizes and automates traditional and digital print workflows, and technology enhancements to support complex PDF workflows with exceptional accuracy and predictability.
