Birdstep awarded upgrade of Turkcell mobile internet client to Microsoft Vista

Birdstep strengthens the relationship with Turkcell by receiving order on additional software licenses for nationwide deployment. The order cover laptop connectivity software license for 2007 and client upgrade to Microsoft Vista
Oslo/Stockholm/San Francisco/Cambridge/Seattle Birdstep Technology ASA, the leading provider of seamless connectivity and mobility software for laptop, PDA’s and Smartphones, today announced the award from Turkcell on laptop connectivity software licences for nationwide deployment in 2007. The order covers EasyConnect, Birdstep’s new laptop connectivity client launched at 3GSM in February 2007. EasyConnect for Turkcell is delivered with support also for Microsoft® Vista® operating systems.

Turkcells market for mobile internet is growing rapidly where Birdsteps software is the enabling product that brings mobile Internet to Turkcells customers. The new award from Turkcell is a proof of a good standing and long relationship between the companies, where Birdstep has been the partner of Turkcell since 2002. This project paves the way for Turkcell’s planned market activities as well as prepares Turkcell for new upcoming technologies.
