Moody’s confirms Enel’s long-term rating at “Baa1” and short-term rating at “P-2”, outlook unchanged

Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. (“Moody’s”) announced that it affirmed the long-term credit rating of Enel S.p.A. (“Enel”) at “Baa1”. The agency also maintained the short-term credit rating for Enel at “P-2”.

Moody’s stated that the rating confirmation mainly reflects Enel’s prospects for recovering its financial profile to a level commensurate with the current Baa1 rating. Such rating continues to reflect the Enel Group’s large scale and geographical diversification, as well as the Group’s business model which will remain predominantly driven by regulated and contracted businesses.
