Jonea Mounsey’s “I Choose the Moon: My Journey from the Midwest to the Middle East” was showcased by self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair, which took place at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main in Germany last October 18-22, 2023.

Author’s Biography

Jonea Mounsey, mother of four successful adults and grandma to six rowdy grandkids, has spent the past twenty-seven years as an RN caring for people in the United States and abroad. She has cared for patients in the hospital setting, in a burning forest, in the air as a flight nurse, on a seismic ship, in an emergency department in New Zealand, and in the desert of Iraq.

Making a promise to a friend that she would put her life undertakings and daring experiences into print, she has written her first memoir, “I Choose the Moon”.

Jonea likes living on the edge and is a true adrenaline junkie. A competitive athlete, she has participated in three ultra-races on three continents. Her soul thrives on keeping fit and spending time outdoors camping, hiking, climbing mountains, or exploring nature. Her favorite things are traveling to foreign lands while experiencing local customs and cultures and making new friends along the way.

These days, she splits her days between (Arizona) and (Iraq), carving out a little time to work on her next book.
