William Mckinney was born in Queens New York, the youngest of five boys. William always loved art as a child, he recalls being coerced into doing his classmates art projects in school. He attended and graduated from August Martin High School, and later enrolled into The School Of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York where he received his B.F.A and discovered his love for children’s books.
