Barbara Jane Hannon signed copies of her book “Letters from World War II: A Story of Life and Love During the Extraordinary Events of WWII” at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair on October 20 and 22, 2023. The book trade fair took place at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, last October 18-22, 2023.

The book signing event was made possible by ReadersMagnet, a self-publishing and book marketing company. ReadersMagnet aims to showcase the works of independent and self-published authors through exhibits at national and international book fairs. The Frankfurt Book Fair, also known as Frankfurter Buchmesse, is the largest book trade fair in the world. This year’s edition was attended by 215,000 people.

“Letters from World War II” is a biography of Barbara Jane Hannon’s parents, Dorothy and George. The book features narration and exchange of letters and telegrams between the two while the Second World War was happening, telling the story of their lives. While being separated from the war, their love for each other, their strength, and patience transcended the horrendous events of WWII that interrupted their lives, events that are unimaginable today.

Barbara found their letters, telegrams, and other documents in a box. Her parents never talked about the war, so unfolding the letters brought back a story to be told and shared with the world.

Readers can get a copy of “Letters from World War II: A Story of Life and Love During the Extraordinary Events of WWII” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
