Lapierre x Alpine collaboration

Boldness, innovation and know-how are the core qualities the Dijon-based bicycle brand shares with the French carmaker. This collaboration between two iconic and historic companies in French industry aims to push the boundaries of performance and engineering. The result is exceptional bikes with a unique design and a focus on competition.

The GLP III SE is the second Lapierre x Alpine co-designed model and the first electric mountain bike in the partnership. The first bike from this collaboration is the Aircode DRS Alpine, released in 2022, a road bike that combines high technology and aerodynamics.

An inspired design

The GLP III SE takes inspiration from the colour code of the Alpine A110 R: the frame features an elegant mix of Matte Racing Blue and Deep Black. The Lapierre and Alpine designers worked hand in hand on this project to ensure the blend of the two worlds is optimised.

The meticulous work on the UD SLI carbon, composed mainly of unidirectional IM/VHM fibres, means that the bike is light and responsive yet rigid and resistant to match the handling and dynamism of the A110 R.

The GLP project: working on gravity

Born out of a desire to rethink the electric mountain bike concept, the Gravity Logic Project launched in 2017 has revolutionised the electric-assisted mountain bike market thanks to an unmatched concept in the world: refocusing and lowering mass as far as possible around the centre of gravity. The notion of weight becomes relative. The steering is ’light’, the bike ’playful’. This vision has never been equalled and is constantly evolving to fuel all  Lapierre’s developments of eMTBs and mountain bikes.

Coming from the 3rd generation GLP, the GLP III SE mountain bike is the perfect example of this new and innovative solution, placing the bike’s handling at the heart of its specifications.

Extreme performance

Ideally suited to the racing philosophy and spirit of the 3rd generation GLP, the new limited edition Bosch Performance Line CX Race engine generates more power than previous models thanks to its ’Race’ mode. True to its basic concept, the battery (725 Wh) is still external and easily removable.

As market and practices advance, the GLP range is turning increasingly towards Enduro (170mm fork), pure performance and competition.

High technology, excellence and balance are the keys to this collaboration: to be the best on all grounds and offer maximum pleasure. The GLP III SE mountain bike is available (in S, M, L and XL sizes) from Lapierre selected retailers and on its website: https://www.lapierrebikes.com/fr-en/news/lapierre-x-alpine/.
