Darlene Lorraine Gibson’s Book of Testimony and Healing Was Showcased at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest

Darlene Lorraine Gibson’s “One Woman’s Testimony of a Transformed Life: A Book for the Hungry, Hurting, and Healing Heart: An Attestation of Christ’s Work in My Life” was showcased by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the 2023 Printers Row Lit Fest. The event took place last September 9-10, 2023, at the Printers Row Park, Chicago, IL.

“One Woman’s Testimony of a Transformed Life” is a testimonial book that chronicles the transformation in the author’s life. Debbie Lorraine Gibson found an opportunity to get back to school at forty-two during some of the most difficult times in her life. She participated in a program at Montgomery County Community College for adult students. This trajectory helped her reinvent herself, taking her years to get her diplomas and degrees.

The book highlights Gibson’s struggles, journey, healing process, failures, and accomplishments. Despite her trials and tribulations, she gained strength to repeat the process and power through it. Her journey was written in four parts: Part 1: My Journey , Part 2: Scripture-Inspired Poetry, Part 3: Sermons God Gave Me During Tough Seasons of My Life and Special Poems, and Part 4: An Outline for a Transformed Life.

On her path, Satan was always trying to stop her journey to God. However, she leaned on her strong faith in God to let her get through the challenges. Her testimony tells how she found complete joy in her journey, making her look forward to what is coming.

Author’s Biography

Darlene is a woman on a mission for God. She is also a psych rehab specialist. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and spent a significant time of her adult life in Willow Grove. Furthermore, Darlene is an alumna of Montgomery County Community College (AS Human Services), Chestnut Hill College (BS in Human Services) and received a MA in Christian Ministry from the School of Divinity at Liberty University. She also has received a post graduate certificate from the Behavioral Health and Science, Military Resilience program.

Furthermore, Darlene completed the PULPIT Program (Program for Urban Leaders and Pastors in Transition) through Mission Theological Seminary, June 3, 2023. Moreover, at her core, she has a servant’s heart, and is passionate about helping people become healed, transformed, and whole. Darlene is a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her goals are to do whatever it is that is within accordance with God’s will that will bring Him glory and help others along on their journey.
