Uvaro, a Career Success platform that offers tech sales training and career development for its Premium members, today announced a new partnership with Digital Nova Scotia, the leading industry association representing the tech sector in Nova Scotia.

Joseph Fung, CEO, and Co-Founder of Uvaro, expressed excitement and optimism for the current partnership and its potential for growth. “We’re thrilled to join forces with Digital Nova Scotia. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to help professionals lead more fulfilling careers. By providing access to our platform, we’re confident that we can help members of Digital Nova Scotia land successful roles in tech and support them throughout their career journey. We’re particularly excited about supporting the growing tech ecosystem in Atlantic Canada.”

Launching in the fall of 2023, this partnership will open up opportunities for 100 members to take advantage of Uvaro through Digital Nova Scotia. The initiative, formally titled Tech Sales Plus, will also give participants direct access to potential employers that take part in the partnership as Program Champions.

“Digital Nova Scotia is unwavering in our commitment to fostering growth in our province’s vibrant tech sector,” said Owen Sagness, CEO of Digital Nova Scotia. “With the introduction of Tech Sales Plus, we are well-positioned to support local employers in finding talent equipped with both technical and soft skills, which has been identified as an area of industry need.”

The partnership includes a pilot with DIGITAL, Canada’s Global Innovation Cluster for digital technologies, to explore how Uvaro’s synchronous career courses and career services would increase employment potential and satisfaction, by broadening skills and marketability beyond Atlantic companies. The pilot is additionally funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program.

“Supporting equity and diversity within Canada’s technology sector is crucial to our country’s continued growth and prosperity,” said Sydney Goodfellow, Director of DIGITAL’s talent-focused program, the Digital Learning Lab. “DIGITAL is proud to partner with organizations like Digital Nova Scotia and Uvaro to involve more Atlantic Canadians in the digital economy.”

Both Uvaro and Digital Nova Scotia are excited to expand and grow this partnership to further support the tech ecosystem in Canada.
