Intense Family Drama Written by American Fiction Award Finalist Kyle Ann Robertson to Exhibit at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023

Towards the end of the year, many global publishers have designated the Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), as one of the last legs in their book fair itinerary. It is one of the biggest publishing events in South America, offering many authors to exhibit their work there and expand their audiences.

It is a very fitting stop for Kyle Ann Robertson, author of the book “White Picket Fences,” a family-centered drama that had landed her a semi-finalist spot in the Royal Palm Literary Awards and Finalist in the American Fiction Awards.

Robertson has long aspired to make an impact as an author even though she has spent over 25 years as a fitness studio owner and physical therapist assistant. Her dedication to improving her writing skills finally paid off, first in the form of a creative writing certificate from Emory University and then in the reception of her novel.

“White Picket Fences” follows Julie Cahill, a woman who appears to have achieved her dream of giving her family a permanent place to settle down. Unfortunately, it turns out that not even a dream come true is a guaranteed cure for other cracks in the family’s relationships. And as these problems make her more controlling, things only get worse.

Visitors to the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023 will get a chance to see how Julie’s story plays out (and what makes its themes on motherhood so compelling) when “White Picket Fences” goes on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit. The event will take place from November 25 to December 3, 2023, at the Expo Guadalajara Convention Center, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
