Author

Eugenia Eberle was born in 1934 and raised in Haverford, Pennsylvania. In 1955, she married Charles Eberle, a first-year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her BA in Public History from the University of Illinois, where she was a noted oral historian with a special interest in WWII. She is a published author of poetry, prose, and metaphors, including “American Pye.”

During their six years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she wrote for the Arab News and an unpublished book, Folks and Fairy Tales of Saudi Arabia, illustrated by the Welsh artist Helga Prosser. Her interests have been athletics, the arts, gardening, and cooking. Now married for 67 years, she and Charles have four children, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
