Jill S. Flateland’s “Until We Meet Again” Will Be Showcased at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair

Jill S. Flateland’s “Until We Meet Again” will be exhibited by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) 2023. The book trade fair will take place on October 18-22, 2023, at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The Frankfurt Book Fair, also known as the Frankfurter Buchmesse, is the largest trade fair for books in the world. It is annually organized and hosted by Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH, which is a subsidiary of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. The Frankfurt Book Fair is a five-day event that invites publishers from all over the world to showcase their current titles. The first three days are exclusively for professional visitors, while the next two days are open for the general public.

“Until We Meet Again” is a suspense and paranormal book that follows a ghost named Tobias McFitzroy. While Tobias rots in jail after a drunken spree, his daughter was murdered. His punishment extends to the afterlife as he becomes a ghost trapped on Earth. His daughter, Sarah, dies and reincarnates. Tobias weakens the longer his ghost stays on Earth. His only way to freedom from the entrapment is to save his reincarnated daughter from the activities of the offspring of his old enemy, Amos Vickers.

Amos is a world-renowned philanthropist who secretly operates a drug-smuggling operation overseas. Unable to prevent two attempts on Samantha’s life, Tobias fears he’s not up to the task. He then finds a way by working with a police officer, Ivar Rexall, to save his daughter’s life.

Ivar doesn’t believe in ghosts, but proof grows that one exists. He can’t explain the mysterious bombings and arson occurring in his town, nor can he prevent the explosive passion erupting for Samantha.

Author’s Biography

Jill S. Flateland retired in 2006 and ventured into the wider writing world. In 2011, she published “A Lightning Slinger’s Tales of the Rails,” which shares stories of her aunt, Dr. Vera E. Williams, and life as a female telegrapher during World War II. Dr. Williams worked for the railroad to make enough money to get her Ph.D. in education.

She entered her fifth novel, “Until We Meet Again,” in the 2014 Colorado Gold Contest at the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Group. The novel became a finalist in the suspense category. Tobias McFitzroy’s old tombstone lay cracked in half and sinking under its weight in a cemetery outside a Colorado ghost town northeast of Fort Collins. The old stonemason had carved her own epitaph. It read, “Until we meet again. 1830 – 1899.” Unlike most people, it didn’t mean when he’d meet them in heaven. He couldn’t. He hadn’t made it that far.

Although her background is over 40 years in healthcare as a critical care nurse and the CEO of an Urgent Care Corporation, she’s been a writer all her life. She and her husband, Byron, live in Colorado, and they travel extensively.
