The Frankfurt Book Fair, which is also known as Frankfurter Buchmesse, is the largest book trade fair in the world. It is organized and hosted annually by Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH, a subsidiary of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association. It is the most important book fair for international deals and trading.

The philosophical book “A Treatise of Humanism” attempts to address the human crisis through an examination of the past, the possibilities for a future, the common rational capacity of humankind, and the common human nature.

The human species is collectively confronting a complex existential crisis comprised of a number of diverse elements: political, economic, religious, technological, and environmental. The globalization of information and commerce has revealed to us the universality and interrelatedness of these factors.

As a book on the philosophy of humanism, “A Treatise of Humanism” shares many ideas with existentialism, and it may be viewed as a work of American existentialism. It focused on the common human condition and on what the people may need to do to continue to survive and thrive together, not only as a rational species but as interrelated individuals.

ReadersMagnet will display Taylor’s “A Treatise of Humanism” at the 2023 Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse).
