Ernest Kiss’s Stories from a Rearview Mirror was exhibited at the 2023 London Book Fair, which was held at the Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, London, last April 18-20, 2023. The book’s exhibit was made possible by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet. Stories from a Rearview Mirror shares an insight into the experiences of the author raised at the bank of the Danube River after World War II. As a young man in Hungary in 1956, he somehow found himself in the middle of the Hungarian Revolution. He also spent his time in the Hungarian Army. The book shares his first loves and marriages, and his training as an Olympic kayaker. It also features how Ernest carried out his plan to escape the Iron Curtain and reunite with his lost father in the United States while experiencing major milestones in his life and in humanity.

The book was written with a look back on experiences, humor, and dedication. The author immortalizes his experiences as he shares the different events that impact his life as he grows into a more developed character in the real world.

Author’s Biography

Born shortly after World War II broke out, Ernest Kiss was raised near the Danube River in the eastern region of Europe. He finally settled in California, his chosen occupation as an international trouble-shooter took control over his life and guided him into large international projects over five continents. He lived and worked in every econo-political system in over 20 countries ranging from Alaska, Patagonia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Venezuela, South Africa, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Canada, and Kuwait. Despite the hard blows life has thrown to him and his family, he maintained his sanity and went on. All the while, he maintained his good humor and dedication to his favorite things in life: cats, women and espresso coffee. His perseverance paid off at the end, having found friends, peace, happiness and love.
