The religion and spirituality book “on that Day:” A Trilogy by Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets was displayed by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books last August 19, 2023, at the University of San Diego, San Diego, CA.

Prepare to embark on a transformative journey into the heart of faith with Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets’ remarkable trilogy, “on that Day.” Comprising three captivating volumes, this trilogy is nothing short of a spiritual masterpiece: “The Death of The Promise,” “The Resurrection of The Promise,” and “The Land of The Promise.”

At the core of these thought-provoking books lies the awe-inspiring concept of the Second Coming of Christ. Sheets courageously challenges the theological norms that permeate modern churches, unveiling profound truths through the biblical Parable of the Ten Virgins, which brilliantly visualizes the long-anticipated Second Coming.

Drawing from the Book of Hebrews, specifically Chapter 6, Sheets delves into the foundation of a mature Christian’s faith. His focus is a trifecta of divine principles: unwavering faith in God, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. Sheets skillfully weaves these ideas in a masterful stroke, connecting the dots of everyone’s spiritual journey.

But the real gem lies in Sheets’ revelation that the promise of the resurrection of the dead is not just one among many; it is the ultimate promise that unites all of God’s pledges. The celestial thread binds faith in the Son of God to the profound assurance of God’s Promise of Resurrection. And, as Sheets compellingly unveils, this culmination of faith finds its ultimate crescendo on that final, eternal, and fateful day—the Day of Eternal and Final Judgment.

Author’s Biography

Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is a seventy-six-year-old semi-retired businessman who, while never attending college, has had a reasonably successful career. He is now living at Providence Farm in Bedford County, Virginia, and presently has a beef cattle operation, raising calves for the feeder market.

During discussions with a friend, a retired pastor, and a marine chaplain who has decided that he is “done with the church,” Tom was challenged to write a book. His friend understood his ongoing frustration with both the message and direction of the established church and felt that many others shared this frustration.

Tom, who has a heart for the lost within the church, believes that the church has been hijacked by the instant-gratification crowd. Thus, he felt that he was challenged to address this issue, and as a result of this challenge, The Road to Restoration, The Death of the Promise, and the Resurrection of The Promised were developed.
